Cascade Leadership Announcements

Cascade Leadership Announcements

We hope you are having a great summer break. We want to provide an update about Cascade Middle School leadership for the 2026-27 school year.

As some in the Cascade community may already know, Principal Emily Feldtmose welcomed a daughter this spring. She has decided to continue her approved leave through the next school year. We are grateful for Ms. Feldtmose's leadership and support her decision.

For the 2026-27 school year, Sunny Sinco will serve as acting principal at Cascade Middle School, creating a one-year assistant principal vacancy. Ms. Sinco has served as Cascade's assistant principal since 2022. Before that, she was a principal with Impact Public Schools and previously served at Cascade as a success dean and administrative intern.

She holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of California and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Washington. Ms. Sinco earned her administrator certificate from the University of Washington.

Micael Haskins has been selected to serve as the assistant principal at Cascade Middle School for 2026-27 school year, effective July 27. Mr. Haskins was identified through a strategic hiring process that included creating a strategic staffing profile for the open position and an interview process where he was hired through our leadership cadre pool process.

His strong K-12, special education, and secondary leadership experience made him an excellent match for the position. Mr. Haskins most recently served as the assistant principal at an elementary school in Hawaii. He has also served for several years as a special education teacher in Seattle Public Schools, as well as in schools in Hawaii and Tennessee.

Mr. Haskins holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Vanderbilt University and a master’s degree in special education from Lipscomb University. He earned his principal certification through the Danforth Educational Leadership Program at the University of Washington.

Please help us welcome Mr. Haskins to Cascade Middle School.
