The Science Fee is charged to all student accounts to help offset the cost of science consumables for lab assignments and projects.  The Tech Fee is charged to all students as Cascade is a one-to-one technology school, meaning all students are assigned a Chromebook.  This fee helps in administering that program, as well as licenses for access to educational software.  The Art Fee is only assessed to students taking art classes. Fines follow students until graduation.  Unpaid fines may delay graduation if not paid in full.

Bus Routes – Your family can find bus information on the Transportation page towards the end of August.  Busing is available to students living more than 1.5 miles from Cascade or have alternate program arrangements.

Middle School Sports –Fall sports (softball, boys’ soccer and track) begin Thursday, September 5.  All Fall sports are open to 7th and 8th graders.  Sixth graders are welcome to participate in track during Fall season. Online registration and submitted sports physical must be complete before athletes begin practicing.  To register online visit the Athletics page. All students participating in athletics must purchase an ASB membership and pay participation fees.  Fees are based on your free and reduced lunch status.  Students paying regular lunch prices are charged $30 per season and $15 for those qualifying for free and reduced meals. Students participating in two seasons will receive any additional seasons free of charge.

Pictures – Picture Day is Thursday, September 12. All students will have their picture taken for ID purposes, even if they are not buying pictures.  Picture package information will be included in the back to school packet being handed out on September 6 or you may choose to purchase online (visit My Lifetouch and use Picture Day ID # LS229026Q0).  Students will receive a proof sheet a month after picture day. Families can make purchases later as well.  Retake day will be Tuesday, October 22.

Meals – Our Cafeteria serves breakfast and lunch daily.  Students need to arrive on campus before 7:50 am to receive breakfast.  The cafeteria prepares several options each day for lunch.  A lunch menu is available on Nutrition Services page.

Many families qualify for free or reduced priced meals.  Your student’s eligibility status from last year carries over until mid-October of this year.  Families must reapply for the free and reduced meal program every year.  We strongly encourage your family to apply as soon as possible.  The online application can be found on Nutrition Services page and will be active beginning mid-August.  Your eligibility for the program also reflects in the price that your student pays to participate in school sports.
