Dear Cascade Families,
We will be welcoming our students served in our Integrated Learning Center (ILC) classroom back for in-person instruction starting on November 9.
We are prioritizing this group of students because they have had the most difficulty engaging with school staff over Zoom due to the nature of their disabilities. Many of these students cannot participate in online learning regardless of the level of support at home.
Students served in other special education programs will return with their grade level when we begin hybrid learning. We do not yet have a firm date for that, but it will be no earlier than the beginning of the second semester on February 1.
I want to share the safety plan we have in place for our school. We will follow this plan when our students in ILC return and when other grades return for hybrid learning. See here for information on Highline Safety Plans and Cascade’s Safety Plan.
If you have any questions about our safety plan please contact me at 206-631-5500
This pandemic has been tough for all of us, and we are all looking forward to returning to some sense of normalcy. Bringing some of our students back to school is an important step in that direction. I look forward to the day when we can be together with all our students. Until then, stay safe and healthy.
